A California-based self-storage facility provider is expanding its Colorado presence.

A Storage Place (ASP) is expanding one of its self-storage facilities in Evergreen, Colo. and building two more in Sheridan, Colo. and Loveland, Colo. The company has selected McCauley Constructors Inc. to provide complete planning, design and construction services for the projects.

ASP will start work this month on a two-story, 52,000-square-foot addition to its existing facility at 29309 Industrial Way in Evergreen, slated to open in spring 2016. The company is also nearing completion of the first 40,000-square-foot phase of its Loveland project. A second phase is scheduled to begin in 2016. ASP and McCauley will also start working on a three-story, 48,000-square-foot development in Sheridan, to be finalized in April 2016.

All of ASP’s state-of-the-art Colorado developments will feature wide interior corridors and the latest technology in steel-manufactured insulated buildings.

According to McCauley Constructors, these new self-storage developments are driven by strong consumer demand, as a large number of similar facilities in Colorado have a six- to 12-month long waiting list.

“Colorado’s popularity has moved companies to expand their surrounding real estate holdings in order to plan for future growth, it is an exciting trend we’re seeing with our clients in the major metropolitan areas here,” Leon McCauley, president of McCauley Constructors said in a statement.
