Meadow Partners has unveiled the renovation plans for a Brooklyn office building the company acquired in 2017. The 96,000-square-foot asset, previously owned and currently occupied by Helen Keller Services for the Blind, is undergoing a capital improvement program. While the landlord has already finished renovating one floor, the rest of the process is slated for completion in September 2018.

The building spreads across six stories and features a first-floor retail component. According to Yardi Matrix, it was built in 1929 and underwent upgrades in 2007. The renovations will result in a TPG Architecture-designed upgraded lobby, as well as new elevators, updated mechanical systems and reimagined storefronts.

Located at 57 Willoughby St. and surrounded by the Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and Dumbo neighborhoods, the property provides easy access throughout the city via multiple bus and subway stations. Additionally, Manhattan is just one stop away.

Newmark Knight Frank Managing Director Whitten Morris and Associate Director Joseph Sipala are in charge of leasing the property. “(The property) has been off the radar and geared historically to other nonprofits, so we feel this is a coming out party for the property and an excellent opportunity for the market to see the efficient floor plates, the large number of windows per floor and the short walk to all mass-transit,” Morris said in a prepared statement.
