LG Electronics USA today celebrated the opening of its new Air Conditioning Systems Headquarters, located just outside Atlanta.

Located at 4300 North Point Parkway in Alpharetta, the 40,000-square-foot facility is poised to support LG’s fast-growing air conditioning systems business and educate engineers, contractors and technicians about LG’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technologies. LG’s HVAC business has called Alpharetta home since 2006, so this headquarters expansion was expected to happen here.

The building holds the Business Innovation Center, a new learning academy and an engineering control lab, all aimed at bringing together engineers, contractors and technicians. The Business Innovation Center is a global showcase for LG commercial solutions, allowing customers to interact with LG’s B2B products in one central location. The Learning Academy provides an additional hub for the LG Excellence Contractor Program’s training sessions for contractors while the Engineering Control Lab is a facility for LG engineers to develop and test new technologies and products to gain an understanding of their ins-and-outs and test them before they hit the market.

In addition to the Alpharetta headquarters, LG Electronics USA is opening this month a Business Innovation Center for its commercial display business in Lincolnshire, Ill.
