Business law firm Kelley Kronenberg has launched construction on its new corporate headquarters in Davie, Fla. The firm is working with Miller Construction to build a 35,000-square-foot, two-story office building in the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., metro area to house 150 employees.

Located at 10360 W. State Road 84, between Hiatus and Nob Hill Roads, the new HQ will feature a mock courtroom, landscaped rooftop terrace, coworking common spaces and an employee café. The office will also have solar tubes, a feature similar to sky lights, which bring in natural light to the building.

Plans also call for two large conference areas that can transform into one great room for events, private office suites, an architectural staircase that leads to a glass-panel balcony and smaller “huddle” rooms. Cabrera Ramos Architects of Doral, Fla., designed the new headquarters, while Alvarez Studios in Miami designed the interiors. Equistone Partners served as development advisors and Sun Trust provided the construction loan for the property.

The property is situated off of Interstate 595 and State Road 84 and about 14 miles from downtown Fort Lauderdale and 35 miles from downtown Miami. The Miami office market has been characterized by steadily rising demand in the face of constrained supply. According to Yardi Matrix data, less than 1 million square feet are under construction.
