Hogan Lovells Resituates NoVa Office

Designed to LEED Gold certification, Boro Tower’s first phase will include a 1.7 million-square-foot mixed-use space, encompassing residential units, retail, entertainment and office space. It is expected to be complete in 2019.

In the summer of 2019, Hogan Lovells will be moving its Northern Virginia office to Boro Tower, a 20-story trophy office tower currently under construction at The Boro in Tysons, Va., The Meridian Group announced. The company will lease a 44,500-square-foot space and will occupy the entire 17th floor and half of the 16th floor of the building. Rick Rome and Alexandra deVilliers of Savills-Studley represented Hogan Lovells.

Currently located at Park Place II, the firm will move approximately 70 attorneys and staff to 7930 Jones Branch Drive in McLean, Va. The new location will be situated within walking distance of the Greensboro Metro station along the new Silver Line, adjacent to Route 7, Westpark and Greensboro Drives.

Major tenants

Designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, the 1.7 million-square-foot first phase—a mixed-use residential, retail, entertainment and office space—is expected to be completed in 2019 and will deliver nearly 700 residential units and 260,000-square-foot retail space. 

Hogan Lovells is the second major tenant at the development. TEGNA, which will be moving its headquarters to the top three floors of Boro Tower, leasing approximately 44,000 square feet. Whole Foods Market will lease 70,000 square feet, making it the largest of the store’s D.C.-area locations and Kerasotes Showplace Theatres will open a new cinema with 15 state-of-the-art screens and upscale dining options.

Rob Faktorow and Terry Reiley of CBRE represented The Meridian Group. Upon completion, the project will feature more than 1,500 units, 1.8 million square feet of office space, 316,000 square feet of retail and 250,000 square feet of hotel space.
