Bengals & Fans Celebrate Home Improvements

It’s too early to tell whether there is a Super Bowl in the Bengals’ future this season, but the team and its fans already have something to celebrate. With more than $20 million in renovations at Paul Brown Stadium now complete, the Bengals will show off their home improvements at tonight’s preseason opener against the New York Giants.

Paul Brown Stadium now features 130-by-36 high-definition video boards, as well as LED boards which stretch the entire length of the sidelines. Also new are concession stands, upgraded seating, Club Lounge furniture, a WiFi system which promises to be among the finest in the NFL, Burgers and Brews stands on each level, a Buffalo Wings and Rings stand on the north plaza level, and additional craft beers. The stadium’s Pigskin Pub has been remade and is now called Queen City Tap Room, serving both local and national craft beers.

The renovation project brings something for the players, too. When they arrive at the stadium today, the Bengals will find an expanded locker room, new weight-training facility, players’ lounge, cafeteria and television studio.

“We are excited to show off our many new elements,” Bengals executive vice-president Katie Blackburn said in a statement released on Thursday. “The Club strives not only to have an exciting team on the field but to make sure the in-stadium, game day fan experience is top-notch as well. We believe that fans attending tomorrow, and at our other home games, will come away impressed.”
