Apex Clean Energy Buys 442.5MW of Solar Projects in VA
The solar capacity is distributed into four projects currently underway across Virginia. Upon completion, the company's portfolio is anticipated to power approximately 72,000 homes.

Apex Clean Energy expanded its solar power portfolio by 442.5 megawatts. The capacity, currently under development throughout Virginia, has been recently acquired from renewable energy developer SolUnesco.
The transaction includes:
- Carvers Creek (150 MW)
- Moody Creek (150 MW)
- Red Brick (130 MW)
- Rivanna (12.5 MW)
Combined, the four projects will generate sufficient energy to power about 72,000 homes and is estimated to contribute by more than $11 million in state and local tax revenue. The deal bolsters Apex’s solar portfolio to more than 3 gigawatts, approximately 700 megawatts of which are situated in the Commonwealth.
