Fortune 500 company Adecco has inked a 10-year lease to occupy 9,900 square feet on the entire 19th floor at 1040 Ave. of the Americas in New York City. NGKF’s Executive Vice President William Cohen, Associate Director Andrew Weisz and JD Cohen arranged the transaction on behalf of the landlord, Garden Homes Development-owned Skyline Developers. CBC Advisors’ Peter Sabesan and Jonathan Bock represented the tenant.

The 24-story, Class B office building comprises 216,932 square feet of office space with 20,000 square feet of retail on the lower floors, Yardi Matrix data shows. The Art Deco structure was erected in 1925 and went through a multimillion dollar storefront and lobby renovation in 2014. Amenities include floorplans ranging from 2,000 to 12,000 square feet, glass storefronts, granite façade and a sleek lobby covered in limestone and stainless steel.

The building is located in Manhattan’s Garment District and offers views of Bryant Park. It is also minutes away from retailers, restaurants, coffee shops, hotels and banks. Transportation is facilitated by Grand Central Terminal, Penn Station and Port Authority Bus Terminal, which are all within walking distance. Other notable tenants include retailer Henricksen, law firm Ladas & Parry LLP, DHI Group, Up Entertainment, Starbucks and Valley National Bank.

Our new Bryant Park space will be our US flagship office and the first of its kind in our footprint,” Adecco Regional Vice President Tonya Lain said in a prepared statement. “The communal look and feel will reflect the energetic, inspiring spirit of Midtown Manhattan and fully embrace Adecco’s upbeat and welcoming culture. Creative thought and design has gone in to our workspace, meet-up rooms and the collaboration areas for colleagues and visitors to connect.
