Global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company Accenture PLC will relocate its Reston Town Center operations to a new facility located at 800 N. Glebe Road in Arlington. The lease agreement was confirmed this week to the Washington Business Journal by JBG Cos., which developed the facility. Accenture’s new D.C. headquarters will total only 100,000 square feet, half of what the company occupies in Reston. The company was represented in this transaction by Tom Fulcher, Art Greenberg and Adam Brecher of Studley Inc., while Michael Shuler and John McEvilly of Avison Young represented JBG.

The Journal also notes a major transaction closed by Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, which purchased Braddock Place in Alexandria, Va., from MGP Real Estate L.L.C. The four office buildings and two-level underground parking garage cost the REIT $101 million and expanded its portfolio in the region by 345,000 square feet.

The week’s largest real estate transaction was closed between Brookfield Office Properties and The Meridian Group. Brookfield Office Properties paid $150.1 million to the Meridian Group for Three Bethesda Metro Center, a 368,400-square-foot office building at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda, according to Citybizlist. The Class A office building, which is currently 93 percent leased, features a 16-story interior atrium, a marble-decorated lobby and an underground parking garage totaling 1,300 square feet.
